Adrian Smith is a member of all of the following jewellery, appraisal and gemmology organisations

The Institute of Registered Valuers  is the principal governing body for jewellery valuers in the UK. 

The Association of Independent Jewellery Valuers is the only organisation in the world solely devoted to truly independent valuers. Founded by Adrian Smith, this international association promotes the benefits to be gained by using a valuer who is totally independent.

The National Association of Goldsmiths is the main trade association for retail jewellers in the UK. The Institute of Registered Valuers (Formerly known as the Registered Valuers Scheme), is administrated by the NAG .

The Scottish Gemmological Association is an extremely active association and hosts the largest gemmological conference in the UK. Regular meetings throughout the year aimed at all levels of interest - from the hobbyist to the academic.

The Gemmological Association of Great Britain. The Gem-A is it is now known was the first gemmological association in the world. The FGA qualification is a most highly respected trade qualification and is administrated by this association.

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers - The largest membership association in the USA, specialising exclusively in gem and jewellery appraising and related appraisal issues.
