STEPS TO PEACE OF MIND
This page assumes that you are requiring a Valuation for Insurance Purposes

Step 1

You need to know what you will receive for your money.

A bound, extremely detailed report with photographs and a CD. Our valuations are acknowledged by all Insurance Companies and ensure peace of mind while wearing your jewellery and a swift, satisfactory settlement should the worst happen.
For more details of the valuation report see Your Report

You will also receive complimentary annual checks on your items and optional valuation updates every 3 years for a nominal documentation fee only. We also pride ourselves on offering an exceptional service that is focused exclusively on jewellery appraisal and valuation.

Step 2

You need to know how much it will cost.

We charge a one-off £50 set-up fee plus £40 for each item of jewellery that is set with gemstones and/or diamonds.
Jewellery items and watches that contain no gemstones or diamonds are charged at a lower fee, as are lower value pieces.
Exceptional pieces are charged at a slightly higher rate.

We believe that our valuation service will actually save you money. All items are:

Valued at the most appropriate Market Level

Ascribed a realistic value fitting for your geographic area

Thoroughly cleaned and checked once a year, without charge

Revalued once every three years for a documentation fee only (optional service)

All of these points add up to savings on insurance premiums, revaluation fees and expensive repair work or stone replacements. Once your appraisal and valuation work has been carried out you can relax, we will look after you and your treasured possessions.

We are open and "up front" about our fees. Just call us, after a few questions we will be able to tell you exactly what your bill will be, right there and then over the telephone.

Step 3

You will need to know how long it will take

We offer a "While-You-Wait" service. If you have several items, this very often turns into a "While-You-Have-A-Nice-Lunch-And-Do Some-Shopping" service!

We are in within 1.5 hours of 80% of the population of Scotland, so you really are not that far away. We usually book appointments a week or so ahead but if you need urgent attention we can usually oblige.

If you prefer not to travel, we also produce valuations for participating jewellers throughout Scotland.

Step 4

What next?  Call us.

Ring us to discuss your requirements. We can then give you an estimate of our fee. Once you have considered things, you will need to set an appointment.

If for any reason you wish to see us in person before proceeding, this is fine. We offer a free half-hour consultation to establish what needs valuing and what does not. This also gives you an opportunity to see what we do and how we do it.

We look forward to meeting you.
